Field Service Technician –  for field installation, troubleshooting and training for large, commercial Compactors and Condensers. This role will involve local work in and around the Atlanta GA area and require domestic US travel for 1 to 2 weeks at a time to install and commission large commercial Styrofoam and cardboard condensers.  Skills needed are: PLC troubleshooting, electrical troubleshooting and mechanical skills and experience with hydraulics.

Pay:  $25 up to $35 hour + Overtime, Travel Time + Travel and Loading expenses

Education:   High school, Certificate program or Associates degree preferred

Job Summary

The Field Service Technician will need good communication skills to speak with clients and address training for machinery operation procedures. Field Service Technicians will need to work independently and also book their own travel throughout the US.  This role will involve daily field installation, troubleshooting, support and training for large, commercial Compactors and Condensers.  The position will involve work in the Atlanta GA area followed by domestic US travel for 1 to 2 weeks at a time to install and commission large commercial Styrofoam and cardboard condensers.  Skills needed are: PLC troubleshooting, electrical troubleshooting and mechanical skills and experience with hydraulics.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Daily troubleshooting with any; Allen Bradley PLC’s using RS-Logix / CompactLogix, MicroLogix, ControlLogix
  • Must have some electrical aptitude for commercial machinery.  Ability to use Volt meters when applicable
  • Experience with Machinery, mechanical aptitude and hydraulics.  Must be able to adjust hydraulics
  • Experience with Cardboard or Styrofoam packaging condensers or crushers is desirable
  • Install and startup systems in house and at end user facilities
  • Travel onsite to customer locations to implement, maintain, and upgrade software/hardware
  • Provide customer training and support, operator training
  • Able to book domestic US travel

Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years’ troubleshooting with any; Allen Bradley PLC’s using RS-Logix / CompactLogix, MicroLogix, ControlLogix
  • 2+ years’ electrical aptitude for commercial machinery.  Ability to use Volt meters when applicable
  • 2+ years’ experience with Machinery, mechanical aptitude and hydraulics.  Must be able to adjust hydraulics
  • Experience with Cardboard or Styrofoam packaging condensers or crushers is desirable
  • Install and startup systems in house and at end user facilities
  • Travel onsite to customer locations to install and calibrate machinery
  • Provide customer training and support, operator training
  • Able to book domestic US travel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
