Pay: $32 – $35 hourly + Overtime + full benefits
Night Shift: 9pm – 5:30am OR 11pm – 7:30am Sunday to Thursday
Summary:
We are seeking a night shift Maintenance Technician / Millwright to work in in the Monroe area to install, maintain, and repair complex industrial machinery. This person will be hands-on with manufacturing equipment in a production plant and will work on a team; installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment according to safety, operation and production needs. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on expertise with heavy rigging, structural welding, and custom metal fabrication to keep our manufacturing operations running safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Installations, troubleshooting and modifications for plant machinery and processes including; mixers, packaging machinery, conveyors, fillers, boxing machines, robots, and other.
- Complete knowledge of all OSHA and safety procedures.
- Rigging & Heavy Lifting: Safely operate cranes, hoists and slings to lift, move, and position heavy industrial equipment and machinery.
- Welding & Fabrication: Perform structural and maintenance welding (MIG, TIG, and Stick) to fabricate, repair, or modify machine parts, brackets, and structural steel components.
- Equipment Installation & Alignment: Read and interpret complex blueprints and schematics to assemble, level, and align equipment with precise tolerances.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine preventative maintenance, inspect machinery for wear, and diagnose mechanical issues to minimize equipment downtime.
- Compliance: Strictly adhere to OSHA safety standards and facility protocols while operating in high-noise and potentially confined industrial environment
Qualifications:
- Hands on experience working as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or production facility
- Experienced working as a Millwright or hands on heavy industrial mechanical experience.
- Experienced working in a production or manufacturing setting
- Strong hands on mechanical troubleshooting experience
- Experience with production / manufacturing equipment, installations, troubleshooting and modifications for plant machinery and processes including: mixers, packaging machinery, conveyor systems, fillers, boxing machines, robots, and other.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine preventative maintenance, inspect machinery for wear, and diagnose mechanical issues to minimize equipment downtime.
- Proficiency in welding (MIG/TIG/Stick), metal fabrication, and heavy equipment rigging
- Proven ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, layout plans, and technical manuals.
- OSHA 10/30, Crane/Rigging Certification, or AWS welding certifications – is a plus
- Ability to perform the following physical activities: stooping, stairs, reaching, standing, walking, talking, and hearing.
