As a Regulatory Compliance Engineer, you will be responsible for leading compliance strategy and programs. You will play an integral role in helping our customers and strategically access global markets. This role is critical to success in growing international reach and going above and beyond meeting our customers’ expectations

The Regulatory Compliance Engineer is providing product compliance expertise for some of the world’s largest and most successful software companies who deploy their applications on hardware, from streaming media companies to cybersecurity companies to military flight simulation developers, and other exciting industries

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a Compliance Strategy that enables them to offer cost-effective services and products to customers looking to enter global markets. This includes, but is not limited to, strategic partnerships with test labs, certifying multiple series of products, and developing strategic relationships with certification entities
  • Research and communicate safety and compliance requirements for new regions relating to current products, new product categories, and expansion of sales
  • Stay abreast of changes to regulatory and agency requirements and recommend actions required to maintain compliance for active products
  • Monitor all issued certificates from issuing agencies to ensure status remains current.
  • Notify issuing agency of any changes to corresponding products and initiate any updates as required
  • Work directly with customers to scope products for strategic deployment around the world
  • Regularly update customers on any new or revised regulations
  • Be a thought leader by looking ahead and bringing new ideas and recommendations in anticipation of future regulatory releases
  • Present regulatory roadmaps to customers and internal teams
  • Propose and help develop regulatory-related blog content
  • Design product test plans for certification and compliance testing
  • Review product designs and collaborate with members of engineering team to validate customers’ products meet international standards for the duration of the product lifecycle, from product launch, to hardware engineering changes, to standards changes
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and maintain a test tool suite that will simulate “typical use” scenarios for any systems that require it
  • Stage and pre-screen systems for submission to the appropriate test labs
  • Work with test labs to plan and document appropriate test procedures that meet regulatory standards
  • Ensure ongoing factory registration and audit maintenance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field of study
  • 5 years of product safety and EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) compliance experience
  • Experienced Compliance Engineering for Computer Hardware/ Server manufacturing standards in USA and abroad
  • 3-5 years of global compliance of ITE (IT Equipment) classification of products
  • Expertise in safety standards 62368/60950 and EMC/EMI
  • Experience working with computing system certification
  • Expertise in global standards and certifications CE, KCC, CCC, BIS Registration, BSMI, etc.
  • Additional preferred education and experience:
  • Experience working with NEBS and FIPS regulations
  • Experience developing and maintaining RoHS and REACH processes
  • Project management platforms
  • Experience working with computer hardware
  • x86-based hardware
  • Desktop, server and data center hardware
  • Troubleshooting EMI/EMC design
