Black-Peak was founded to provide valued added industry experience for employers in need of workforce solutions. We have two separate business segments.

Full service, direct hire staffing for our valued customers. There are several markets we provide direct hire candidates for that serve technical, sales, engineering, programming and IT related fields. We will create a targeted group to campaign our customers job to all working, non-working professionals and define a candidate pool by reaching everyone, in order to refer qualified people that are clients can hire directly.

In addition, Black-Peak provides specific on site office staff and remote workforce staff,related to IT Professionals, AI Programmers, PLC Programmers, SCADA Programmers, MES Programmers, Automation Programmers, and Administration roles. These are all insured Black-Peak employees, supplied as on site office or remote contract personnel for client projects and long term staff needs.

We deliver this by providing in depth knowledge on the roles we're helping to fulfill, along with a commitment to excellence and customer service.

Black-Peak’s recruitment team has been hired for their previous knowledge and experience working in the industries we service as a programmer, engineer, designer, drafter or technician. We thoroughly understand the roles and experience you need to hire for, giving our clients an advantage over any of the competition.

Jim Bernier Founder and President

As a founder and current leader, Jim Bernier established Black-Peak to help employers with niche recruiting needs with a focus on controls, automation, electrical, mechanical and facilities maintenance and other building engineering roles.  With 25+ years’ of recruitment team leadership and customer business development, Jim has led the company and helped clients hire more than 2000 employees and contract talent across the United States.

Using years of knowledge, highly effective industry recruiting practices and all the best technical recruiting methods, Jim personally hires and trains only the most motivated recruiters for the Black-Peak team.

Jim is a Rhode Island native and father who believes in giving back to the community and supporting charitable organizations.   He also has a passion for his hobbies in boating, surfing, skiing and fitness.  When not at the office or behind his computer, you will find him enjoying the outdoors and helping others achieve their dreams.
