Packaging Operator – 3 openings

Location:  Houston, TX area

Pay:  $14 to $16 hour

Temp to Hire shift:

• Day shift: 7am – 7pm from 3 – 4 shifts/week (alternating schedule)

The Packaging Operator is responsible for labeling and packaging product. Main equipment consists of PCs and label vacuum sealers.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of cardboard, paper, and plastic packing materials
• Packing and labeling of semi-finished products
• Operation of a vacuum sealing machine
• Palletizing packaged product
• Operator of a pallet jack or similar non-driven mobile equipment
• Document production rate against shift plan and complete work order information
• Document all equipment, material, and quality issues during shift
• Follow all company environmental, health, and safety standards

• Stop work authority – STOPS all work if unsafe conditions are identified

• Communicate areas of improvement

Qualifications:

• Previous packaging machinery or quality experience

• Previous experience working in a manufacturing or refinery facility preferred
• Reliable transportation to and from the facility
• High attention to detail
• Walking, standing, bending, lifting, and reaching are normal expected movements during a shift
• Open to taking both direction and feedback from others
