Pay:  $22 hour

Temp to Hire shift:

• Day shift: 7am – 7pm from 3 – 4 shifts/week (alternating schedule) DAYS

Technician (Packaging) will setup, operate, repair, and troubleshoot an automated packaging line.

The packaging line is a machine assembly consisting of numerous sub-systems (vision systems, pneumatic clamping devices, servo-driven armatures, vacuum-generators, conveyors, etc). that are used to convert intermediate product into finished product. These processes include inspection, labeling, vacuum-bagging, box-making, and boxing. Given complexity of sub-systems, the technician will work on a daily basis with the automation engineer to ensure issues are addressed and escalated promptly.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated packaging line
• Troubleshoot and repair packaging line to minimize equipment downtime
• Perform preventative maintenance on packaging line
• Ensure process quality/process uniformity by inspecting output from packaging line
• Follow all process work instructions
• Escalate issues to Automation Engineer
• Follow all company environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards

• Stop work authority – STOPS all work if unsafe conditions are identified

• Identify and communicate areas of improvement

Qualifications:

• Packaging machine operation experience
• Previous experience working with camera & vison systems
• Previous experience working with conveyor systems
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic systems
• Preventative Maintenance experience

• Previous experience working in a manufacturing or refinery facility
• Multilingual (Mandarin Chinese) is a plus
• All tools and materials to be provided by employer (use of personal tools discouraged)
• Reliable transportation to and from the facility
• Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
• Walking, standing, bending, lifting, and reaching are normal expected movements during a shift
