Location(s): Manhattan, NYC w/ travel to the Fairfield NJ office 1 day a week.

Pay: $125 to $150k base salary with total compensation from $225k to $300k+ annually.

Description:

In the VP of Sales position you will be responsible for leading the sales function of the company.   What we’re seeking is an experienced Sales Leader with any industry experience in industrial control valves, process controls, rotating equipment like industrial pumps, compressors, or related experience.

This primarily consists of managing the outside sales team consisting of 3 people who cover the boroughs of New York City, Long Island, Westchester and Albany. Furthermore, a member of our inside sales team who has extensive field experience visits clients in Northern New Jersey.

Responsibilities:

  • You will develop an overall sales plan. The includes how to go to market, increasing sales to existing customers and growing our active customer base. Your mandate will be to effectively train, teach and manage the outside and estimating sales team.
  • You will cover certain large accounts that are multi-territory in nature such as the government of New York, New Jersey and the Federal government as well as your own long-standing client accounts.
  • Develop go-to-market and sales strategy
  • Manage, motivate and train sales team
  • Integrate marketing and sales strategy
  • Develop plan for our bid & spec business

 

Qualifications:

  • 10 years direct experience in sales of engineered products and, industrial products
  • Must have a meaningful book of business you can bring to the company (should include any;  municipal / industrial control valves, process controls, steam systems, rotating equipment like industrial pumps, compressors, or related industry)
  • College degree focused on an engineering degree highly preferred
  • Must have managed people in sales previously
  • Hold Profit & Loss responsibility
  • Entrepreneurial and self-motivated
  • Interpersonal and client relation skills
  • A problem-solving “can do” attitude
  • Must be able to work in our lower Manhattan office and  travel to our Fairfield, NJ office once a week
  • Legally permitted to work in the United States
  • Fluent in English
