Salary: $26/hour – $28/hour + Overtime +  full employee benefits

Shifts:   Mon – Fri ,   6:30am – 3:30pm + overtime

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician you will ensure all equipment is maintained properly and is ready to run to support production. Must also be able to troubleshoot and diagnose corrective issues and make repairs on all production related equipment in the steel fabrication and assembly industry. This position is also responsible for the execution of all preventive work orders that are assigned

Responsibilities:

  • Preventative maintenance on all related equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing all related equipment.
  • Keep track of all spare parts used and report those parts to the supervisor.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts.
  • Must be able to maintain records in maintenance tracking software.
  • Assist in the evaluation of production problems due to related equipment issues.
  • Operates as a member of the plant management team responsible for the direction of the plant.
  • Participate in departmental, safety, and production meetings as necessary.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • Experience working in an industrial environment – preferably with metal fabrication
  • Experience with troubleshooting + repair on:  conveyors, presses, punch presses, turret punch machines, laser cutting equipment, automated drilling machines, welders + hoist system
  • Welding experience – MIG weld standard on steel
  • Test equipment to ensure repairs are completed correctly.
  • Basic machine protocol and maintenance experience
  • Computer Literacy a plus.
  • Ensure that all repairs and maintenance activities are done to OEM standards or better.
  • Experienced in working with hand tools and power tools.
  • Experience operating forklifts and other related equipment.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work with manuals, schematics, and prints.
  • Knowledge of safety guidelines, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and general mechanics.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time and have physical requirements to regularly climb ladders and stairs, walking, kneeling, standing, squatting, twisting and bending for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work OT if needed and the occasional Saturday
  • Must speak English – Spanish is a plus
