Salary: $35/hr – $38/hr  + full employee benefits

Shifts:   Monday – Friday day shift (flexible schedule and hours)  and the occasional Saturday during peak season

Skilled Maintenance Mechanic Lead to monitor, plan, and perform essential manufacturing maintenance responsibilities.  This includes installing and inspecting machines and electrical equipment and completing preventive maintenance to ensure industrial machines and systems remain operational.   Being reliable and self-motivated with attention to detail is essential in this job – This is a hands on position

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual inspections, listening for irregular noises and conduct testing as appropriate.
  • Monitor, identify and respond promptly to signs of malfunction in machinery such as changes in performance, temperature fluctuations, sounds, smells.
  • Perform troubleshooting for production machinery (welding equipment, robotic welders, press brake, punch press, small machine equipment, etc.)
  • Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment.
  • Perform emergency repairs on various types of machinery, including mechanical, electric, pneumatic, and hydraulics.
  • Identify and replace worn or damaged parts in a timely manner.
  • Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions.
  • Maintain machinery and the adjacent workplace in a state of appropriate cleanliness; maintain a schedule for inspection, service, and testing of machinery.
  • Read and comply with work orders concerning service, modification, or installation of machinery.
  • Train and develop Industrial Maintenance technicians.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years working as a Lead Maintenance Mechanic in an industrial / production setting
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawing, and schematics
  • Steel Fabrication equipment experience (Press Break, Punch Press, Welding, Robotic Welding, etc).
  • Machine operating experience
  • Ability to address general facility maintenance needs
  • Solid hands on mechanical troubleshooting
  • Solid hands on electrical troubleshooting
  • Safe operating practices and OSHA compliance.
  • Experience working with tools, including hand and electrical tools.
  • Ability to read and utilize technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Plan and schedule all weekly repairs, projects and routine preventive maintenance
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish and English strongly preferred.
